Strengthening the gifts of the Holy Spirit and deepening our life in Christ and the Church.
Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through it, we are more perfectly bound to the Church and enriched with the strength and gifts of the Holy Spirit to witness to the Christian faith.
Our Confirmation preparation program is a year-long journey of faith formation, community, and personal reflection — designed to prepare young people to make a mature commitment to their Catholic faith.
Weekly formation classes covering the faith, the sacraments, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Parents are invited to a series of meetings to support their child's preparation and deepen their own faith.
Candidates attend designated Masses together throughout the preparation year as a community.
A retreat experience helps candidates reflect deeply on their faith commitment before receiving Confirmation.
Baptized Catholic young people who have received First Communion are eligible. Candidates are typically in Grade 7 or higher, depending on the diocesan program.
A Confirmation sponsor must be a confirmed, practicing Catholic who is at least 16 years old, not the parent of the candidate, and registered with their own parish.
